Job Summary:
Targeted Victory is searching for an individual who is creative but analytics driven, who can provide performance reporting and translate data into actionable results that align with political campaign goals and email marketing and/or fundraising objectives. A successful coordinator in this role is someone who is driven to follow internet marketing trends and opportunities.  We are looking for someone who will ultimately learn to prepare reports to which will feed into department recommendations for future email outreach programs. Familiarity supporting political campaigns and/or running email marketing promotions is a plus.


Responsibilities:
This position will be directly responsible for the management of department email marketing programs.  This role will be required to assist in the growth and expansion of Targeted Victory products and services.  Related internal training will be provided (if necessary) to enable effective independent performance of duties.  Targeted Victory is interested in working with candidates that will contribute to the successful operation of our email marketing strategy.    The coordinator is expected to learn to identify trends and opportunities and to make timely recommendations for successful email marketing campaigns to senior management. In addition, the coordinator will be called upon to support the following tasks:

  • Build and execute Email campaigns, including list building, segmentation analysis. 
  • Seek and provide information to determine campaign/market positioning.
  • Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of email marketing strategies.
  • Track and forecast email marketing, reporting on industry trends backed up by thorough data analysis and reporting.
  •  Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide team and manager with information to support the development of proposals for the promotion, design, and pricing of company products or services.
  • Work collaboratively within Targeted Victory department teams to execute content strategy, support the creation of creative assets, and the deployment email outreach campaigns.
  • This position has dual reporting to the Director of Marketing and Manager of Marketing Operations.
     

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree marketing or related field preferred.  Previous experience working within a political campaign is a plus. This role requires some experience with marketing and email or online promotional campaigns. Experience in HTML and content design is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of current communications and email marketing best practices. Strong communications and writing skills are a plus. Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to manage multiple initiatives on deadline simultaneously, are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues at all levels.  Demonstrated teamwork and creative skills are required.  The ability to work well with people at many levels of authority, to work independently, and to work effectively within a diverse professional environment is a must.
